World Environment Day 2026 places focus on climate change, one of the most pressing challenges affecting communities across the globe. Addressing it requires collective action and more responsible approaches on how we use our natural resources for the production of energy. NamPower supports this effort through ongoing work towards more sustainable energy solutions and responsible resource use, contributing to a more resilient future for Namibia.

NamPower is proud to handover school uniforms to Eluwa Special School, Moreson Special School and Dagbreek Special School to a total value of N$130 000. This donation is the result of the collective effort of NamPower’s dedicated employees, who came together to raise funds for the Power Care Back to School Initiative.
In the beginning of the year, the NamPower Foundation embarked on a mission to collect funds from willing employees with the aim of using it to support the less privileged. This initiative is called the Power Care Back to School initiative and it is an annual event on the NamPower Foundation’s calendar.
In addition, the staff also donated old clothes and shoes to the learners of the three schools. As NamPower, we recognise that meaningful impact goes beyond infrastructure and energy supply. It lies in how we show up for our communities, especially for those who need support the most.
