🌟 Student Leadership Camp 2026 🌟

Our student councillors embarked on an enriching 2D1N journey of learning, collaboration and growth at Student Leadership Camp 2026.

Anchored on the 5 Practices of Exemplary Leadership, students participated in engaging workshops, worked together to plan meaningful school-wide initiatives, and learned valuable lessons about leading with purpose and impact. The camp also featured activities thoughtfully organised by our Secondary 3 Councillors, providing opportunities for leaders to strengthen bonds, build trust and learn from one another.

A highlight of the camp was the resilience hike, where students stepped out of their comfort zones, persevered through challenges and demonstrated the importance of resilience in leadership. Throughout the camp, our councillors embodied the RECIPE values as they supported one another and worked towards common goals.

As we continue rising together, we look forward to seeing our student leaders inspire positive change, serve the school community, and lead with passion and excellence.

Double the achievement, double the pride!

Congratulations to Fiona, Kai Xuan and Yao En (Sec 4) for winning 2nd Place in the Nutri-Innovate Challenge 2026 organised by Nanyang Polytechnic. Their creation, “Oh My Beandung”, was designed to improve nutrition and quality of life for elderly individuals with Dysphagia. Thank you to the NBSS community for your Instagram votes and support.

We also celebrate Auni and Maya (Sec 3) for securing 2nd Place in the Junior Chef Culinary Competition 2026, organised by Yishun Secondary School and Republic Polytechnic. Their innovative dish, “Bollywood Bosphorus Egg Cloud Pide”, impressed judges with its creative fusion of flavours under the theme “Breakfast Reimagined”.

We are proud of both teams for showcasing creativity, innovation and excellence through Food & Consumer Education. Well done, girls!

Even during the school holidays, our staff are committed to growing and learning. Our team recently completed their First Aid Training to sharpen their emergency response and life-saving skills.

We believe that providing a safe and secure environment is key to our students' success, and that starts with keeping ourselves well-equipped. Kudos to our staff for their dedication to ensuring the well-being of every Navalite! 🤝❤️

The last week of school was a chance for Navalites to rejoice, reflect, and refresh as we celebrated the conclusion of an enriching semester! From class parties to cohort level sports competitions, it was certainly a week to remember! As part of our celebrations, we also held a heartwarming ceremony to award our signature Captain's Bears to students who have shown exemplary character. The week also featured our Student-Teacher-Parent Conference (STPC), where Navalites took ownership of their education, reflecting on their progress this term and sharing their goals for the year ahead. Thank you to all parents, teachers, and students for your hard work and unwavering partnership throughout this semester. We wish everyone a safe, restful, and rejuvenating term break. Have a fantastic holiday, Navalites!

Navalites’ Learning Exploration (NLE) Week just concluded, and what an enriching week it was! Our students truly broadened their horizons with a fantastic range of activities designed to take learning beyond the classroom.

From diving into rich heritage and innovation at the ArtScience Museum and Chinatown, to observing history along the Singapore River Sculpture Walk, our Navalites saw firsthand how learning connects to the real world. 🎨

It wasn't just about personal growth—our students also showed amazing community spirit! Whether they were giving back through environmental initiatives like Beach Cleanups and Recycling Drives, investigating local biodiversity during Bioblitz, or unlocking new skills through hands-on Applied Learning Modules (APLMs), their enthusiasm was unmatched. 🌿🚀

Our Navalites can certainly be proud of their active participation throughout NLE Week. This week was a wonderful reminder that the world is just one giant classroom! ❤️👏

A memorable milestone for our Sec 3 students today as they officially received their National Registration Identity Cards.

More than just a form of identification, the NRIC marks an important step in their journey towards adulthood and citizenship, reminding our students of the shared values, responsibilities, and opportunities that come with being Singaporeans.

Following the presentation ceremony by their form teachers, students also participated in a classroom learning session where they gained a deeper understanding of their rights and responsibilities as citizens, and reflected on how they can contribute meaningfully to the community and nation.

Congratulations, Sec 3s! May this milestone inspire you to continue growing into thoughtful, resilient, and responsible individuals who make a positive difference wherever you go. ❤️🤍

At NBSS, the arts continue to bring the Navalite family together! 🎨✨

Last Friday, our staff gathered for our annual Staff Arts Appreciation, led by our Upper Secondary Art Talent Development Programme students. Centred on ceramics, the hands-on session gave teachers the opportunity to explore creativity through clay sculpting and design, guided by our talented student facilitators.

These creations will become part of something bigger as NBSS prepares to celebrate our 70th Anniversary next year. 👀 Stay tuned to see how these meaningful pieces will come together as part of our school’s story and celebrations ahead!

We just wrapped up an incredible Care Week 2026! This week was a celebration of our culture of care and respect, as Navalites took ownership of creating a supportive environment where every student feels safe, valued, and connected.

Through the theme 'From Me to We', students put a spotlight on both self-care and care for others. From the exciting school invasion by 987FM to the dynamic activities of the Navalites Unplugged programme, where students ditched their devices for face-to-face bonding, it was a true whole-school effort. Together, we’re always moving forward with kinder hearts and a stronger sense of belonging!

We were honoured to be part of the Navy Day 2026 celebrations at the Singapore Navy Museum on 2 May!

From heritage trails and exhibitions to Changi Naval Base tours, the event was a meaningful celebration of Singapore’s naval history and heritage.

A special highlight was our school choir’s wonderful performance, which added to the lively atmosphere and proudly showcased the talent and spirit of our Navalites.

Thank you to our parents and staff who came down to support our students and celebrate alongside us. We are proud to continue our strong connection with Singapore’s naval heritage!
