Charlotte Fire Station 20

Another busy night for the Nations Ford Crew. Last night, the house emptied out and headed to South Park for a house fire on the initial alarm assignment. The incident eventually escalated to two bells.

Battalion 5 held command while Ladder 20 went to work opening the roof before heading inside to hook ceilings and open walls. Engine 20 initially took up RIT duties before later transitioning to a hoseline and going to work.

Between the calls, training, weather, and day-to-day work, here are a few moments from recent weeks.

A big addition to a busy firehouse!

The Engine gained a sibling; Ladder Company 20 went into service over the fall. With this addition, it's helping balance call volume and improving coverage around the area. With the Engine often tied up on other calls, it caused other companies to respond to our area to pick up additional calls; this fixes that problem.

It’s been a while, but things around the firehouse haven’t slowed down.
