Our aim: to promote the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of older adults & their family

We provide day care services for the socially isolated, moderately handicapped or frail older adult. Daily programming includes: active floor and table games; chair exercises; discussions on current events, contemporary and devotional subjects; music and singing; arts and crafts; reminiscing and sensory stimulation. Special activities include: holiday celebrations; parties and birthdays; intergenerational visits; pet therapy.

We sincerely appreciate the generous grant for music therapy from 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘿𝙪𝙋𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝙁𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣. Seniors with cognitive and physical limitations participated in Music Therapy sessions led by a board-certified Music Therapist weekly. Majority of our participants are socially isolated due to Alzheimer's disease, music therapy allowed them to experience that sense of enjoyment with others, Families are greatly appreciative of programs that bring happiness to their loved ones, allowing well-deserved respite for themselves.

ESSE Aurora enjoyed a special treat! Chef Melinda became Julia Child and we helped her make crepes! We even had a French lesson. Participants were heard saying “Cest delicieux” (I’m enjoying this.)
