On May 7, we gathered with our partners at the and the for a powerful afternoon of reflection, culture, and community action in recognition of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives (MMIR). The event opened with a beautiful Native American dance exhibition, setting the tone for a night rooted in tradition and unity.
We were honored to welcome Red Sky Nation Pow Wow Princess Delia Ice, who shared heartfelt education, cultural insight, and a reminder of the vital role community involvement plays in protecting and uplifting Indigenous relatives. Her message underscored the urgency of raising awareness for missing and murdered relatives across Turtle Island and the responsibility we all share in this work.
Together, we strengthened connections, elevated voices, and reaffirmed our commitment to advocacy, visibility, and justice for Indigenous communities.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, supported the event, and helped strengthen our collective commitment to visibility, advocacy, and justice for Indigenous communities. Your presence made a meaningful difference.

đGraduation means even more when you know what it took to get here.đ
So proud of the students in our healthy relationships group, not just for earning their diplomas, but for the courage, honesty, and resilience. Theyâve shown all year in our healthy relationships group. Theyâve done the hard work of healing, setting boundaries, and choosing something better for themselves.
These small gifts are a reminder: you are seen, you are valued, and you are capable of building the life and relationships you deserve.
If you believe in this kind of support for students, those navigating dating violence, sexual assault, and trafficking, consider donating to help us keep this work going in Lincoln Public Schools. It matters. They matter.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our recent volunteer training session. Your willingness to donate your time, energy, and heart is what keeps our work moving forward. This training brought together a dedicated group of community members ready to step in, show up, and make a meaningful impact.
We covered trauma informed care, shared resources, and built connections that strengthen our ability to serve survivors effectively. Most importantly, we were reminded that volunteers are the backbone of every successful effort and we are deeply grateful for each of you who choose to stand with us.
Your commitment makes a real difference, and weâre excited to continue this work together.
If youâre interested in becoming a volunteer or want to learn more about our next round of volunteer training, please reach out to our Volunteer/Intern Specialist Sam at [email protected] Weâd love to have you join us in this work.

You may never meet the survivor who needs help tonight.
You wonât see the fear in their eyes when they dial our number.
You wonât hear the tremble in their voice when they whisper, âI donât know what to do.â
You wonât sit beside them in the hospital or help them breathe through the panic.
But your gift will.
Because hope doesnât just appear, it needs a way in.
A phone line thatâs answered.
A door thatâs open.
A person who listens without judgment.
And we are now in the final hours of Give to Lincoln Day.
Every way you choose to give, online, by check, or in person, becomes that way in for someone who needs safety, compassion, and support.
Your generosity becomes the moment someone finally feels safe.
Your kindness becomes the strength they didnât know they had.
Your support becomes hope.
And hope becomes healing.

Last night, one of our advocates sat in a hospital room with a survivor who had just endured the unthinkable.
The survivor looked at our advocate and asked, "Was this my fault?"
The room went quiet, not because there was uncertainty, but because the weight of that question deserves gentleness.
Our advocate moved a little closer and said, âNo. What happened to you is not your fault. It never was. And you deserve to be safe.â
The survivorâs shoulders dropped, just slightly.
A breath theyâd been holding finally released.
Not because everything was suddenly okay, but because someone believed them.
Someone saw them.
Someone stayed.
This is what your support makes possible TODAY on Give to Lincoln Day.
You help ensure that when a survivor asks one of the hardest questions a person can ask, they are met with compassion, clarity, and unwavering belief.
Your gift helps us answer with the truth every survivor deserves to hear:
âIt wasnât your fault. Youâre not alone. Weâre here.â
