SPECIAL SHOUTOUT to our snowstorm super troopers (and their families) who braved the weather to attend S.O.S. Youth Centers Inc. these past two weeks! 🫶 Being out of a routine can take a toll on kids, so we were very blessed that Salisbury Parks and Recreation Department remained open and gave us the opportunity to offer a much needed outlet for arts enrichment. 🙏 We didn't miss a beat, and these kids were SO happy to get to work each session. 💪 They even joined in the snow scene fun thanks to The Carolina Artists and Cherrathee Hager. 😊 But, I think they were most excited to see their friends. 💚💛

We have been blessed once again by the hearts and hands of The Carolina Artists! 🙌 Thank you Maryellen Bunting Bennett for donating these exciting new materials to our students. 💚💛 They can't wait to get creating!! 🤗

We are THRILLED to welcome our Spring 2026 cohort!!! Can you feel their EXCITEMENT?? They'll be diving into literary, visual, and performing arts as they develop skills and confidence that will prepare them for college, careers, and the community. 💚💛 LET'S GO!!

🎯 Making plans for your kids in 2026?? DON'T MISS THIS!! 🎨The S.O.S. Youth Centers Inc. Afterschool Arts Enrichment Program is back in session on JANUARY 13TH!! 🎭 This is a FREE and comprehensive opportunity for youth ages 7-14 to explore their interests and develop their talents in different artistic expressions like dance, drama, painting, photography, poetry, short stories, and more! 🙌

⭐ We meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4pm-6pm at the Salisbury Civic Center. The first session is January 13th and the program will conclude with an art showcase for families on May 7th. ⭐

✅ Registration is OPEN on the Salisbury Parks and Recreation Department website, so be sure to get your kids signed up ASAP!
