A huge thank you to our incredible corporate volunteers from Tiffany & Co. for spending the day with us in the boutique! ✨

We were so grateful to welcome this amazing team as they helped prepare our space for clients.

Each person took on an important role to help make our boutique shine!

From organizing our jewelry collection and stocking makeup products to carefully sorting every section of our shoe racks, their attention to detail was truly appreciated.

Volunteers also replenished clothing inventory and sorted donations to help keep our boutique organized, welcoming, and ready for the women we serve.

Every rack straightened, donation sorted, and display refreshed helps create a positive experience for women as they prepare for interviews, new jobs, and the next step in their careers.

Thank you, Tiffany & Co. for making such a meaningful impact. ❤️

“The power of visibility can never be underestimated.” — Margaret Cho 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Visibility matters in the workplace. It matters in leadership, in professional spaces, and in the stories we share about who belongs and who has access to opportunity.

At Dress for Success San Francisco/San Jose, we’re committed to creating welcoming and affirming spaces where women can access workplace attire, career coaching, life skills and a network of support as they navigate work and life.

We use the term “women” in a gender-expansive way to include cis, trans, non-binary, gender non-conforming, genderqueer, and all woman-identified people. Everyone deserves the opportunity to pursue their goals, show up authentically at work, and feel supported along the way.

This Pride Month and throughout the year, we stand with LGBTQIA+ communities across the Bay Area. 💙

What does opportunity look like?

✔️ It can look like a woman receiving career clothing for an important interview.

✔️ Meeting with a coach who helps her refine her resume and prepare for what’s next.

✔️ Gaining access to digital skills training, financial education, and career development opportunities.

✔️ Building the confidence, network, and support system needed to grow long after she gets the job.

Every donation helps make these moments possible.

Through career clothing, coaching, digital skilling, professional development, and community support, Dress for Success San Francisco/San Jose helps women build the confidence and resources needed to thrive in work and life.

This is what your financial support makes possible. ❤️

Because when a woman thrives, her family and community thrive alongside her.

Thank you for helping create more opportunity across the Bay Area.

Alicia increased her credit score by 72 points in just six months. 🎉

You may have seen her share her story on stage at The Disco Ball gala last year. As a Client Success Ambassador and member of our Professional Women’s Group, Alicia continues to be a powerful voice in the Dress for Success San Francisco/San Jose community.

Today, she’s sharing how our Financial Education program, in partnership with Capital One, helped her feel more confident and in control of her future.

“Before joining the financial literacy program at Dress for Success, I didn’t really feel in control of my finances. I was stressed about my money and budgeting every paycheck,” she shared.

Through the program, Alicia learned practical tools around budgeting, credit, saving, and investing — and began approaching her finances differently.

“I started being more mindful of how I spend and more intentional with how I use my credit. I focused on the best ways to build my credit, and I also got valuable information on investments, which got me thinking more about my future.”

And then came the results.

“Within six months, my credit score went up 72 points, and I was able to pay off my credit card. That was a big moment for me. It made me feel less stressed, as well as a sense of hope for my future.”

As a graduate, Alicia also received a year of LinkedIn Premium and career coaching to support her continued professional growth.

“I’m really grateful to Dress for Success, the team, and all the donors. This program helped me feel more confident, more grounded, and more in control of my future.” ❤️

Big news for Dress for Success San Jose and the women we serve across the South Bay. ❤️

We’re honored to share Summit League has selected Dress for Success San Jose as the recipient of its May 2027 fundraiser, awarding a $300,000 grant to expand career services for women across Santa Clara County and the South Bay. 💐

This investment will connect more women with the support they need to move into sustainable careers, including a professional wardrobe, one-on-one coaching, core skills development, and community.

It will also fund the addition of a new team member in our San Jose office, strengthening our ability to serve more women in the years ahead.

At Dress for Success San Francisco/San Jose, we see the demand every day — women ready to work, ready to grow, and ready to move forward. This grant will allow us to deepen our work in the South Bay and ensure more women have access to the resources and support they need to navigate career transitions and achieve long-term success.

We are incredibly grateful for Summit League’s partnership and belief in this work.

For nearly seven decades, Summit League has invested more than $2 million into education, health, welfare, and the arts across Santa Clara Valley. We’re deeply grateful for their leadership and commitment to community impact.

Summit League will recognize Dress for Success San Jose at its 2027 A Day in the Garden with Friends fundraiser on May 13, 2027 at the Mountain Winery. We look forward to celebrating together.

Thank you, Summit League, for this investment in the future of women in our community. ❤️

While this grant is a powerful step forward, there’s more work to do. To keep expanding what’s possible for women across the Bay Area, Dress for Success San Francisco/San Jose needs continued support from the community.

We’re so grateful for the corporate volunteers who bring their time, energy, and encouragement to Dress for Success San Francisco/San Jose. ❤️

Here’s what Emily P. from Xero shared after volunteering with us:

“I volunteered with Dress for Success as part of a company initiative, and within a couple of hours, we helped three women select beautiful outfits for their interviews and first weeks on the job.

“The care and thought that went into creating such a supportive and uplifting experience for the clients really impressed me. Connecting with the women and sharing in the excitement of finding outfits that made them feel confident was really energizing. The warm and welcoming environment fostered by the staff and other volunteers made it clear to me that this was an organization I wanted to stay involved with. I look forward to helping more clients feel empowered.” - Emily P., Xero Employee
