🚨Facility Closure Alert🚨

The Stumpy Creek Boat Landing will be playing host to a special event this weekend June 26th-June 28th. In order to host this event, we will have to close the landing to the public for these 3 days due to the high traffic the event is anticipating. Please refrain from entering the landing to launch or land your boat during this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The landing will resume normal operations on Monday, June 29th.

A busy week has begun at Jennings Park 👀⚽️⚾️

Today was the start of a soccer camp ran by staff from the current Club World Cup champions Chelsea Football Club that will run through Friday in partnership with Impact Futbol Club. What an honor it is for our park to be a gateway for our local athletes to be coached by a club super power!

Starting Wednesday, Jennings Park will also play host to a Babe Ruth State Tournament hosted by Babe Ruth of Iredell County bringing folks from across Western NC to the facility for a chance to play in the Babe Ruth Regionals later in July.

The first day of water aerobics is in the books at the Iredell County Rec Center! Come out & see us on Tuesdays & Thursday’s from 9am-9:45am. Rec Center members & Pool Pass holders can attend for $3/class. All other guests will cost $5/class to attend. You may also attend the pool that day at no additional charge when you attend these classes! Pre-registration is not required.

🚨Cancelled Group Exercise Classes🚨

Heads up! For our early risers who come to our 5:30am group exercise classes, classes will be cancelled from Monday 6/15 - Monday 6/22. Come visit our other classes while these classes are out of commission!

Please note that this only applies to our 5:30am classes. All other classes will go on at their normal times during this week! Please call 704-878-3103 with any questions!

What a wonderful day it was to host our 2nd Iredell County Sports Jamboree at Jennings Park! 36 participants took part in rotating introductory clinics to the sports of soccer, football, lacrosse, & disc golf with us. It was a hot day, but these kids were so excited & toughed it out for the love of sport! Check out some of the highlights from today.

A special thank you to our friends at Statesville FC, Charlotte DGC, Cloverleaf Youth Athletic Association- CYAA, & our very own Marketing & Events Program Specialist James Kotcamp for their awesome leadership of our clinics today. We couldn’t have hosted this event without these awesome partners & their infinite wisdom in their sport.

A huge congratulations to Mike and Dylan, who battled their way through a competitive field and claimed the championship title! 💪🏆

From hard-fought rallies to lightning-fast volleys, this tournament delivered exciting matches, great competition, and plenty of fun. Beat the heat while still enjoying the outdoors this weekend at Bigleaf Slopes Park! 🥾🚲

Whether you'd like to hike or ride, Bigleaf offers the best of both worlds...all while providing a lot of canopy cover to fight that summer sun. There are 2 loops available as well. The orange loop offers one mile of trail, while the blue main loop offers 3.5 miles of trail.
