🏳️‍🌈 Today, the community came together in downtown Wilkes-Barre to raise the Pride flag as a symbol of visibility, unity, and hope.

As the flag rises above Public Square, it serves as a reminder that everyone deserves to feel seen, valued, and celebrated for who they are. Pride is more than a month, it’s a commitment to creating a community where love, acceptance, and equality thrive every day.

Thank you to everyone who joined us as we kicked off Pride Month together. We are proud to stand with the LGBTQIA+ community today and always! 🌈

Today, we come together in the heart of Scranton to raise the Pride flag—a symbol of visibility, resilience, hope, and community. 🏳️‍🌈

This moment is made even more meaningful through the collaboration of so many organizations, advocates, allies, and community members who work every day to make Scranton and Northeastern Pennsylvania a more welcoming place for LGBTQIA+ people.

We are proud to stand alongside local partners, including the Q***r NEPA, Eastern PA Trans Equity Project, Scranton Pride, and Action Together Northeastern PA, as well as other community organizations, elected officials, and allies who continue to champion equality, inclusion, and belonging.

As the flag rises above the city of Scranton, let it serve as a reminder that everyone deserves to live authentically, safely, and with pride. Together, we celebrate the progress we’ve made, honor those who paved the way, and recommit ourselves to the work that still lies ahead.
