𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞̄𝐧𝐞𝐚 kicked off today in 🇬🇷Athens — and we were happy to be there!

🚗A great morning full of ideas, innovation and inspiring people. We had the pleasure of listening to Markus Villig, founder and CEO of Bolt, speaking about Estonia’s journey from a small digital nation to a global innovation hub.

🟤It was also wonderful to meet the creators of 𝑶𝑴𝑵𝑰𝑫𝑬𝑹𝑴𝑨, 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐤𝐥𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐨𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚, and hear more about their exciting work.

And the day is not over yet — our side event dedicated to Estonian E-Residency starts today at 18:00, with gathering from 17:30, at Impact Hub Athens, Karaiskaki 28, 10554 Athens.

Οι Keelepeksjad ποντάρουν, εκγυμνάζονται κι εξασκούνται πάνω στην ασφάλεια της μνήμης. Στο ντεμπούτο άλμπουμ τους Kalev tuli koju που έχει κυκλοφορήσει εδώ κι ένα χρόνο, περιλαμβάνονται διασκευές εσθονικών παραδοσιακών χορών, καθώς και συνθέσεις του Jaak Sooäär, άμεσα επηρεασμένες από εσθονικές folk μελωδίες. Εκείνοι που τους συνάντησαν στο εσθονικό Jazzkaar φεστιβάλ άκουσαν μια ακλόνητη ρυθμική βάση, ιδέες που έδωσαν νέα τροπή όχι μόνο στις πατροπαράδοτες εσθονικές αλλά και στις διεθνείς folk παραδόσεις, μιας και το κιθαριστικό κατά κύριο λόγο αυτοσχεδιαστικό παίξιμό τους, επανανοηματοδότησε μέχρι και πόλκα μελωδίες προσθέτοντας τους electro jazz rock groove! Κάντε το εξής μικρό μουσικό πείραμα και θα το θυμηθείτε: Αφήστε να κυλήσει το “Suvemõnu” και να σκάσει κατευθείαν πάνω στο "Miks Jaani oodatakse” μέσα από το παρθενικό τους άλμπουμ. Πριν καν το καταλάβετε, ένα τεράστιο χαμόγελο θα έχει καρφωθεί στο πρόσωπό σας!

For Keelepeksjad, memory is a playground where they can have fun, practice and experiment. Their debut album Kalev tuli koju includes covers of traditional Estonian dances as well as original compositions by Jaak Sooäär directly influenced by Estonian folk music. Those who saw them live at the Estonian Jazzkaar festival got a chance to experience how their solid rhythmic foundation could breathe new life into international folk traditions, with their guitar improvisations infusing even well-known polka tunes with an electro jazz rock groove. Hit play on “Suvemõnu” from their debut album, let it guide you straight into the next track, “Miks Jaani oodatakse”, and we bet you won’t be able to hold back a giant smile.

It was a great honour and pleasure to visit the 𝐄𝐯𝐳𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 and learn more about the history, traditions and daily work of the 🇬🇷 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝.

The Evzones are a truly remarkable symbol of dedication, discipline and national pride. Every detail — from the perfectly aligned uniform elements to the precise movements and unwavering focus — reflects the highest standards of service and respect for tradition. ✨

🇪🇪 Sel nädalal kohtus suursaadik 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐮 Kreeka rannavalve ülema viitseadmiral 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐬 𝐊𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐬e, Frontexi kontingendiülema 𝐆𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐬 𝐏𝐲𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐬e ning Kreeka sideohvitseri 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐆𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐝𝐨𝐮ga.

💠Kohtumise eesmärk oli tänada Kreeka rannavalvet ja Frontexit abi eest, mida nad osutasid kevadise Eesti paadiõnnetuse ajal. Suur tänu kiire ja professionaalse tegutsemise eest! 🙏

💠Suursaadik kinnitas kohtumisel ka Eesti jätkuvat toetust Frontexi operatsioonile ning heale koostööle Euroopa piiride kaitsel.

🇬🇧 This week, Ambassador 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐮 met with Vice Admiral 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐬 𝐊𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐬, Chief of the Hellenic Coast Guard, 𝐆𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐬 𝐏𝐲𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐬, Frontex Contingent Commander, and 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐆𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐝𝐨𝐮, Hellenic Liaison Officer.

💠The meeting was an opportunity to thank the Hellenic Coast Guard and Frontex for their assistance during the Estonian boating accident this spring. We are truly grateful for their swift and professional support! 🙏

💠Ambassador Rannu also reaffirmed Estonia’s continued support for the Frontex operation and for our good cooperation in protecting Europe’s borders.

15. mail külastas Albaania peaminister Edi Rama Eestit ning osales Tallinnas Lennart Meri konverentsil 🇪🇪🇦🇱
Visiidi käigus kohtus ta peaminister Kristen Michali ja president Alar Karisega ning külastas muu hulgas NATO Küberkaitsekoostöö Keskust, Maarjamäe memoriaali ja e-Estonia esitluskeskust.

Eesti kinnitas toetust Albaania teekonnale Euroopa Liitu. Tänases julgeolekuolukorras on Balkani riikide ELiga ühinemise hoogustamine eriti oluline.
