European Union in Malaysia Official Account for the Delegation of the European Union to Malaysia 🇪🇺 🇲🇾 The Delegation of the European Union to Malaysia was opened in 2003.

As the diplomatic mission of the EU, the Delegation promotes closer ties with Malaysia by providing an efficient and reliable communication channel between the Malaysian government, businesses, the civil society and their European counterparts. The Delegation works in close coordination with the embassies of the individual EU Member States present in Malaysia and promotes the EU common positions as well as Europe's cultural diversity through public events. Cooperation between the EU and Malaysia further exists in the areas of mutual interest, namely trade and economic relations, climate change, environment, green technology, higher education, science and technology, human rights and culture. Global issues are also discussed regularly.

The EU–Malaysia partnership is turning ambition into investment, innovation and sustainable growth under the EU’s Global Gateway strategy.

At EU–Malaysia Business Day, leaders and businesses came together to strengthen cooperation across key sectors.

🔑 A major milestone: €1 billion in investment by NXP Semiconductors to expand advanced semiconductor manufacturing in Petaling Jaya, supported by the European Investment Bank .

From semiconductors to renewable energy, AI and digital connectivity, this partnership creates opportunities for skilled jobs, innovation and long-term growth.

As European Commissioner Jozef Síkela said, shared ambition drives investment and innovation that deliver lasting value for both Europe and Malaysia.

rolled up our sleeves to turn Selangor greener! 🌳

Ahead of EU-Malaysia Business Day 2026, EU Ambassadors planted trees today, the first of a total of 225 trees – including 125 endangered species - that will be planted in the Rantau Panjang Sungai Buaya Reserve Forest.

This initiative is part of the upcoming EU–Malaysia Business Day 2026: Selangor in Focus event on 13 October at KLCC.

Instead of traditional door gifts for our 700 expected participants, we chose a more sustainable impact: planting trees on their behalf.
