The Provincial Government of Bulacan successfully conducted the Consultative Meeting on the Proposed SMARTLoop E-Vehicle Project of Smart Mobility Solutions, Inc. (SMSI) on 28 May 2026 at Function Room A, Capitol Hostel, Provincial Capitol Compound, City of Malolos, Bulacan.

The meeting featured the presentation of the SMARTLoop E-Vehicle Project by Mr. Efren Flores De Mesa of Smart Mobility Solutions, Inc., highlighting its key features and potential benefits as a modern, sustainable, and inclusive public transportation system.

The consultative meeting was attended by Governor Daniel R. Fernando, Provincial Administrator Antonia V. Constantino, Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Officer Atty. Jayric L. Amil, OIC–Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator Engr. Randy H. Po, and Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Ms. Rowena Tiongson. Also present were officers and members of the Bulacan Federation of Jeepney Operators and Drivers Associations (BFJODA), representatives from cooperatives, and other prospective partners and stakeholders.

Inspired by integrated and technology-driven mobility systems such as Singapore’s, the proposed transport model promotes operational efficiency, reliable scheduling, organized routes, and improved commuter experience. The proposal likewise highlighted increased income opportunities for drivers through a structured salary-based system, affordable and commuter-friendly fare options, and the use of electric vehicles to support cleaner and environmentally sustainable mobility.

Looking forward to further strengthen public transport services and contribute to the development of a more integrated and sustainable mobility system in the Province of Bulacan.
