In accordance with Presidential Proclamation no. 1006, s. 2026 declaring 02 November 2026 (Monday) as additional special (non-working) day, the e-RELICS portal shall open the application for Sales Promotion Permits through e-RELICS tomorrow, 30 October 2026 (Friday), consistent with the NDA Advisory no. 15, s. 2026.

GENERAL TINIO, NUEVA ECIJA — Bumisita si National Dairy Authority (NDA) Administrator Atty. Marcus Antonius T. Andaya sa General Tinio Stock Farm upang personal na kumustahin at masubaybayan ang kalagayan ng 150 buntis na dairy cattle na kasalukuyang sumasailalim sa quarantine.

Ipinapakita ng operasyon ng General Tinio Stock Farm ang mahalagang papel nito bilang pasilidad para sa pansamantalang pag-aalaga at acclimatization ng mga imported dairy cattle bago ang kanilang distribusyon sa mga kwalipikadong benepisyaryo. Sa pamamagitan ng pasilidad na ito, naisasagawa ang kinakailangang quarantine at pag-aangkop ng mga hayop sa kondisyon ng bansa sa ilalim ng pangangasiwa ng NDA.

Mahalaga rin ang stock farm sa pagtitipid ng pondo ng pamahalaan, dahil nagbibigay ito ng sariling pasilidad para sa quarantine at pag-aalaga ng mga imported dairy cattle, sa halip na umasa lamang sa mga panlabas na pasilidad na maaaring mangailangan ng karagdagang gastos.

Sa pormal na pagbubukas ng selebrasyon ng Food Safety Awareness Week 2026, muling iginiit ng Kagawaran ng Agrikultura (DA) ang pagtutok sa pagsusulong ng seguridad sa pagkain, pati na ang pangangalaga sa kalusugan ng publiko at kapakanan at tiwala ng mga mamimili sa pamamagitan ng ligtas na pagkain, Oktubre 26.
Nakaangkla sa temang, “Ligtas na Pagkain, Kalusugan ng Bawat Pilipino, Sama-samang Pagtibayin” ang naturang pagdiriwang, na hinihikayat nito ang pagtutulungan sa pagitan ng pamahalaan, mga prodyuser ng pagkain, mga negosyo, at mga mamimili upang pigilan ang foodborne illnesses at tiyaking ligtas para sa konsumo ng mga produktong agrikultural at pangisdaan.
Sa bisa ng Republic Act No. 10611 (Food Safety Act of 2013) at Presidential Proclamation No. 160, serye 1999, pinangungunahan ng Kagawaran ang pambansang pagdiriwang ng Food Safety Awareness Week tuwing huling linggo ng Oktubre upang imulat at makiisa ang publiko sa pagpuksa ng food poisoning at iba pang foodborne illnesses. # # # (Krystelle Ymari A.
