عالمی یومِ تھیلیسیمیا کے موقع پر سندس فاؤنڈیشن کے زیر اہتمام تقریب سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے سپیکر پنجاب اسمبلی ملک محمد احمد خاں نے کہا کہ تھیلیسیمیا سے بچاؤ کے لیے آگاہی، بروقت تشخیص اور اسکریننگ انتہائی ضروری ہیں۔
انہوں نے سندس فاؤنڈیشن کی خدمات کو سراہتے ہوئے کہا کہ یہ ادارہ 1998 سے تھیلیسیمیا اور خون کی دیگر بیماریوں میں مبتلا مریضوں کی بلا معاوضہ خدمت کر رہا ہے۔
سپیکر نے کہا کہ پنجاب تھیلیسیمیا پریوینشن ایکٹ 2025 اہم پیش رفت ہے، جبکہ پنجاب بھر میں خصوصی تھیلیسیمیا مراکز قائم کیے جا رہے ہیں۔

Addressing a ceremony organized by Sundas Foundation on World Thalassemia Day, Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan said that awareness, early diagnosis, and screening are essential to prevent thalassemia.
He appreciated the services of Sundas Foundation, which has been providing free treatment and support to patients suffering from thalassemia and other blood disorders since 1998.
The Speaker added that the Punjab Thalassemia Prevention Act 2025 is a major step forward, while special thalassemia centers are being established across Punjab.
