What’s really inside our Bloobins? πŸ‘€β™»οΈ

MP for Tampines GRC, Dr Charlene Chen ι™ˆδ»₯君, took a closer look inside the Bloobins (recycling bins) to uncover some of the most common recycling mistakes β€” from tissue paper and styrofoam to food waste and unflattened cardboard boxes.

While many have the right intention to recycle, recycling right makes all the difference. ♻️

Flatten your cardboard boxes before disposal and, most importantly, keep recyclables clean and dry - one contaminated item can render the entire batch unrecyclable.😫

The new 5 in 1 Smart Recycling Bins ♻️ will be introduced in Tampines East by Q3 2026.

This NEA initiative, operated by 800 Super, aims to make recyclable waste collection more efficient and effective 🌏

They collect five types of recyclables: cans, plastics, paper, glass, and old clothes πŸ‘•β™»οΈ
