The Bell Gardens Police Department is a professional police services organization. We are located in South East Los Angeles.

On behalf of the men and women of the Bell Gardens Police Department, I would like to welcome you to our page. My name is Paul Camacho and on January 4, 2024, I had the honor to be sworn-in as the 13th Chief of Police for the Bell Gardens Police Department. It has been my pleasure to serve this great community for the last 20-years. Our department consists of 79 dedicated professionals including 43 sworn officers, 26 professional staff and 10 part-time staff. BGPD is compromised of the following units; Patrol, K-9, General Investigations, Special Investigations, Special Operations Team, Dispatch, Neighborhood Watch, Records, Community Service Officers, Jail, and Support Personnel. Our goal is to continue to reduce crime and help improve the quality of life for all who live, work and do business in our city. It is my pleasure to serve as your Chief of Police and I am proud to lead this amazing BGPD team.
