It was a pleasure to join Openlands, Cook County Commissioner Jessica Vásquez, and 26th Ward Alderperson Jessie Fuentes this past weekend at Nixon Elementary School for our tree planting event in Hermosa!

We planted 20 trees throughout the neighborhood to help improve air quality, battle the urban heat island effect, and grow our tree canopy. What a great way to meet neighbors and grow in community! If you would like a tree planted in front of your home, please contact our office!
