Trump and his loyalists are escalating attacks on Indian immigrants, and the consequences are devastating. Not only are Indian people facing the highest rates of ICE arrests under Trump compared to other Asian ethnic groups, but they’re also being subjected to racist political rhetoric steeped in the baseless “great replacement” conspiracy theory – which falsely claims minority groups are replacing white Americans.

We’re seeing more and more examples of how this “great replacement” rhetoric pushed by Trump and his political allies is emboldening people to commit acts of hate against Indian people and other South Asians— such as the recent attempted mass shooting at a Hindu temple.

Our research also reveals that half of South Asian adults in the U.S. have recently experienced a hate act, and there have been significant spikes in online anti-South Asian hate under Trump’s anti-immigrant agenda.

The Trump regime is actively making it harder for people to become U.S. citizens just days before the critical midterm elections.

Reporting from Bloomberg reveals that applicants who have already been interviewed and approved for U.S. citizenship are facing significant and deliberate delays for their oath-taking ceremonies, which is the final step in the naturalization process. New data from USCIS also reveals that naturalization cases have dropped by a staggering 73% in the past year, and that only 54,000 people were approved for naturalization in Q3 of 2026 — the lowest naturalization approval rate in over six years.

Because of these delays, people who’ve spent thousands of dollars and several years going through the application process to immigrate to the U.S. the “right” way could still be subjected to ICE’s cruel arrests and detentions. They’re also being denied their right to vote in the upcoming midterm elections.

It’s abundantly clear that Trump has never believed in following immigration rules. Instead, he’s destroying our immigration system to deny us our political power.

Sick people, dirty kitchens, and inedible food. This is what's happening inside of ICE's disgusting prisons, and they're doing everything that they can to hide it from us. During an unannounced oversight visit to ICE's Adelanto prison — California's largest ICE prison — Rep. Dave Min and several other lawmakers observed unhygienic conditions throughout the building. Detainees were also put on lockdown, making them unable to speak to their government representatives.

Dian Zhao Lin - known affectionately as "Mr. Lin" to the patrons of his Chinese restaurant in Mount Morris, NY - built a life in the U.S for over 20 years, alongside his wife and his six children. Now, the family is demanding answers after Mr. Lin was aggressively detained by ICE on his way to work.

A viral video of the cruel arrest shows ICE agents using excessive force to pin Mr. Lin down, as he shouts for help. Lin is one of over 5,30 Chinese immigrants who have been kidnapped by ICE since Trump re-took office, according to data from our A/PI ICE Tracker.

It's clear that ICE has never cared about promoting public safety. Instead, they're trying to make us feel unsafe and unwelcome in our neighborhoods.

Let’s set the record straight on Asian voters: Most of us do NOT support Trump. In fact, the majority of Asian, Latino, and Black voters backed Democrats in the 2024 and 2025 elections, and Asian voters are projected to continue shifting left in the 2026 midterms.

The midterm elections are two weeks away, and Asian voters have the incredible power to be the deciding vote for a new majority in Congress. In fact, there are over 1.2 million eligible Asian voters in Texas — that's 5% of the Texas electorate.

We can fight back against the rampant xenophobia we're seeing from Republicans like Ken Paxton. We can use our votes to let them know that we want elected officials who care about affordability and safety – not sowing fear and hate in our communities. We can elect leaders who will use our tax dollars to invest in our communities and not ICE.

That's why Stop AAPI Hate Action is going all-in for AAPI House Calls from now until November 3rd: Because we need AAPI voters to know that our ballots could make or break important races like Texas' Senate race.
