See highlights from Roanoke County, Virginia's fourth annual Trunk-or-Treat held last night at Northside Middle School. 🎃 Families got a chance to interact with first responders along with other public servants who work hard for our citizens behind the scenes.

Participating departments from Roanoke County included Police, Police Records, Sheriff's Office, Fire & Rescue, Public Library, Planning, E-911 and General Services. Other participants included RCACP, the Western Virginia Regional Jail, District 15 Probation & Parole, Northside Safety Club, Northside Music Honor Society and Sam's Club.

Thanks also for candy donations from Walmart, Krorger, BJ's, Five Below and Aldi.

Urban Commercial Cleaning celebrated a ribbon cutting today with the Roanoke Regional Chamber and Roanoke Economic Development. This new business specializes in rug cleaning and pressure washing, serving both commercial and residential clients in our region.

When the Fishburn Park snack cart rolls down the hall, it brings a smile to everyone's faces — but not for the reason you may think.

Yes, the cart comes stocked with snacks for teachers and staff. But more than that, it provides our students in the Multiple Disabilities (MD) Program with hands-on learning experiences. From practicing their communication skills to making change, these students are building confidence and independence in a fun way.
