Inclusivity is at the heart of everything we do. As we wrap up Pride Month, let’s remember that creating a safe, welcoming, and equitable community is a year-round commitment.

When we lift each other up and champion diversity, the entire Mohawk Valley thrives. Let’s carry this spirit of unity and advocacy forward into today and beyond!

The Mohawk Valley is beautifully diverse, and today we honor World Refugee Day. We recognize and celebrate the incredible strength, resilience, and rich cultural heritages of our global neighbors who have rebuilt their lives right here in our community. Our region is vibrant, strong, and whole because you are here.

Today, we observe and celebrate Juneteenth, honoring freedom, resilience, and the enduring journey toward true equality.

At United Way of the Mohawk Valley, we remain dedicated to breaking barriers and creating a more equitable community where every individual has the opportunity to thrive.

In observance of the holiday, our physical offices are closed today as our team reflects on how we can continue moving this vital mission forward. We will reopen on Monday morning.

Yesterday’s Day of Action was nothing short of inspiring! 🌍💚

Our parks, neighborhoods, and community gardens transformations show exactly what happens when we come together. Because truly, United is the way!

A massive thank you to our sponsors, Excellus BlueCross BlueShield and Lafa, for fueling our crews and helping us make this day such a massive success! This day isn’t just about the work we finished in a single afternoon. It’s about taking time to care for the places we call home. When we take pride in our neighborhoods, we inspire the next person to do the exact same, keeping the Mohawk Valley safe, beautiful, and vibrant for every family.

Thank you to every single organization and individual volunteer who showed up and worked hard.

Just 48 hours until our community springs into action! Teams are prepped, t-shirt fundraisers are finalized, and the cleanup supplies are packed. We can't wait to see all of our corporate partners and individual volunteers out in the field this Wednesday morning. Remember, after the hard work is done, we are celebrating YOU with a volunteer thank-you lunch at our updated location: the Cedar Pavilion at Sherrillbrook Park! See you all on Wednesday!

Happy Flag Day!

Today we commemorate the adoption of the United States flag in 1777. For generations, it has stood as a symbol of unity, hope, and community. Right here in Oneida and Herkimer counties, we take pride in weaving a stronger, more supportive fabric for every single neighbor who calls this region home.
