Shoutout to our amazing Spring Interns from Delaware State University! Joy, Sean, Maryam, Janae, Bey-Leigh, Qadriyyah, and Kennaiya — you came, you showed up, and you made a real difference at Sojourners' Place this spring!

These incredible students didn't just observe — they jumped in with both feet. From facilitating our Out of Poverty and Substance Abuse classes, to supporting case managers, assisting with grants, and showing up for our residents every single day — they brought energy, compassion, and dedication to everything they touched.
We are so grateful for each of you and the heart you poured into this work. Sojourners' Place is better because you were here. 💙
To Joy, Sean, Maryam, Janae, Bey-Leigh, Qadriyyah, and Kennaiya — go out there and change the world. We have a feeling you absolutely will. 🌟

🎓 Congratulations to residents of Sojourners' Place who graduated this month from the Food Bank of Delaware LOGIC Program! 🎉
We are so proud of each and every one of you! Resident Brian Bishop said it best:
"Success isn't something that just happens. It's something that you fight for."
Brian and his fellow graduates showed up, pushed through, and earned this moment. And as Brian reminded his classmates — this is just the beginning.
"This is not the end of our story. It's just the beginning of a stronger, wiser and more determined chapter."
That's what Sojourners' Place is all about — walking alongside our residents as they build the futures they deserve. We couldn't be more proud. 👏

🌱We loved seeing this spotlight from Senator Chris C***s, celebrating graduates of the Delaware Center for Horticulture training program! Even better—2 of the 6 graduates were Sojourners’ Place residents 🎉👏
A huge congratulations to Rashad and Enoch! Rashad will continue working with the Delaware Center for Horticulture, and both men are taking exciting next steps toward stability and employment.
Our residents have been participating in these hands‑on training programs for several years, building skills, confidence, and pathways to opportunity—and it’s amazing to see that hard work pay off.
Take a moment to check out the post and cheer them on 👇

🎓✨ Caps off to our newest graduates! ✨🎓
On March 31, 8 residents proudly graduated from Sojourners’ Out of Poverty Program, wrapping up 8 weeks of life skills training focused on building stability, confidence, and next step goals. 💪✨

Over the past 8 weeks, these individuals committed to doing the hard work—building life skills, strengthening resilience, and tackling the root causes of poverty head-on. Through programs like this, Sojourners’ Place empowers residents to move toward independence and self-sufficiency.

And they’re not stopping here…
💼 All 8 graduates have already begun their job search journeys!
This is what transformation looks like: showing up, putting in the work, and taking bold steps toward a brighter future. We couldn’t be more proud. 💛

👏 Let’s hear it for this incredible class! Drop a congratulations in the comments and help us celebrate these amazing graduates! The next Out of Poverty class kicked off on April 7 and we’re excited to support another group of residents on their journey toward independence and long term success.

In just one year, Morgan has grown our programs and championed our mission that’s all about restoring hope and empowering individuals to rebuild their lives with dignity—providing shelter, case-managed support, job readiness, and a true pathway to independence.

Here’s to one year down—and countless more lives changed ahead. 👏
