Invest Melaka Berhad (IMB) is the official investment promotion agency of the State Government of Melaka, mandated to attract, facilitate, and support domestic and foreign direct investments.

On 30 October 2026, PDG Property Group and Kewpie Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. held a Sale and Purchase Agreement signing ceremony at Menara MITC, Melaka.

The ceremony began with remarks by Datuk Seri Gwee Yew Kiat, Managing Director of PDG Development Sdn. Bhd., followed by Mr. Takeshi Nishizato, Managing Director of Kewpie Malaysia, and Datuk Saiful Hazwa bin Kipli, CEO of MCORP.

Kewpie Malaysia established its presence in Melaka in 2009, with its manufacturing facility commencing operations in 2010.

Invest Melaka continues to support investment promotion and industrial development in Melaka, including initiatives such as Melaka Halal Hub 2.0, developed through collaboration between MCORP and PDG Property Group.

The visit included a presentation on SFERE, which aims to encourage the adoption of smart manufacturing technologies among industries

The engagement explored strategic collaboration opportunities between Invest Melaka Berhad and SIRIM Melaka to accelerate the adoption of smart manufacturing practices, enhance industrial capabilities, and strengthen the competitiveness of Melaka’s manufacturing sector.

22 October 2026 - Invest Melaka, together with MIDA Melaka Mida Melaka and Perbadanan Melaka - MCORP, held a meeting with potential imvestor to discuss potential collaboration and explore investment opportunities within Melaka’s semiconductor ecosystem, particularly in the OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test) sector.

The engagement provided a platform to exchange insights, strengthen industry connections and explore opportunities for future collaboration.
