Representatives from Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Region IX participated in two capacity-building activities conducted at the PSA Headquarters in Quezon City. ⁣

Focal Persons for the Updating of the List of Aquaculture Farms (ULAF) attended the Task Force Training on the 2026 ULAF from 01 June to 04 June 2026. The nationwide statistical undertaking aims to collect and update comprehensive information on aquaculture farms across the country.

Meanwhile, Ms. Michelle Grace C. Natividad and Ms. Shehana S. Ladjabangsa participated in the Capacity Building for the Regional Monitoring of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) using Family Income and Expenditure Survey (FIES) from 02 to 04 June 2026, this training strengthened participants' knowledge and skills in utilizing FIES data for tracking progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals at the regional level.

The participation of PSA Region IX focal persons in these specialized trainings provided updated methodologies and practical tools that will support more effective and reliable statistical operations in the region.

The Philippine Statistics Authority Regional Statistical Services Office IX (PSA RSSO IX) proudly celebrates its achievement as the 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 in the 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗚𝗔𝗗) 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁-𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗩𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁.

Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) RSSO IX joined the observance of the 2026 World Day Against Child Labor (WDACL) last 03 June 2026, standing in solidarity with all sectors in promoting and protecting the rights and welfare of every child.

Anchored on this year’s national theme, “Ikaw, Ako, Tayo: Sama-samang Pagkilos para sa Batang Malaya,” the observance emphasized the importance of collective action in eliminating child labor and ensuring that children are provided opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive in safe and nurturing environments.

As an advocate of evidence-based governance and social development, PSA Region IX continues to support initiatives that advance child welfare and protection. The observance served as a reminder that protecting children from labor exploitation and safeguarding their well-being are shared responsibilities that require the participation of all sectors of society.

Nitong Abril 2026, naitala ang kabuuang halaga ng eksportasyon ng ginto ng Pilipinas sa USD 380.76 milyon. Ito ay mas mataas ng 73.7% kumpara noong Abril 2025.

Samantala, umabot sa 7.31 metriko tonelada ang kabuuang bigat ng eksportasyon ng ginto ng Pilipinas, mas mataas ng 5.9% kumpara noong Abril 2025 na nasa 6.90 metriko tonelada lamang.

TINGNAN | Importasyon ng Bigas Ayon sa Bansa (April 2026)

Nitong Abril 2026, umabot sa USD 161.93 milyon ang halaga ng importasyon ng bigas sa Pilipinas at ito ay may kabuuang bigat na 399.06 libong metrikong tonelada.

Alamin ang limang pangunahing bansa na pinaggagalingan ng imported na bigas noong Abril 2026.

Vietnam – 92.2%
Cambodia – 2.8%
Thailand – 2.2%
India – 1.8%
Myanmar - 1.1%

TINGNAN | Kabuuang Importasyon ng Pagkain ng Pilipinas (April 2026)

Umabot sa USD 1.18 bilyon ang halaga ng importasyon ng pagkain sa Pilipinas noong Abril 2026. Mas mataas ito ng 10.7% kumpara noong Abril 2025 na may halagang USD 1.33 bilyon.

Samantala, naitala ang kabuuang bigat ng importasyon ng pagkain sa 1.26 milyong metrikong tonelada, mas mababa ng 12.8 kumpara noong Abril 2025. Ito rin ay 10.4% ng kabuuang bigat ng importasyon ng bansa.
