Freebies are fun to grab, but they aren't completely free. 🎁
There's a cost to every freebie, and that is the data you’ve submitted. Clicking 'Accept' allows the organisation to access and use your data for various purposes stated in the T&Cs. 👀
So ask yourself this the next time you see an offer:

CCTV footages aren't just used for safety and security purposes. 💡
Organisations may also use them for other purposes such as marketing. But under the PDPA, they must first inform you and get your consent to do so.
This allows you to decline if you’re not comfortable. ❌

🚨 SCAM ALERT 🚨
There is a new variant of impersonation scams where victims receive phishing emails that falsely reference the PDPA to obtain their payment details.
Their latest move:
✉️ Victims receive an email claiming their funds have been withheld.
⏰ Phishing emails referencing the PDPA to pressure you to give up your payment details as part of the verification process.
Don’t fall for it. Here’s what you should do if you've received similar emails:
✅ Call PDPC directly to verify if the email is real.
✅ Do not click on any links or download files.
✅ Report the email to the police immediately.
