This past week, 2 of our members traveled to Ferno headquarters in Wilmington Ohio to obtain their stretcher repair certification.

This now allows us to get our stretchers repaired in house instead of having to call a technician in.

Our very own president, Carla Simpson, was awarded the EMS Leadership Award at last nights SREMS Awards Banquet.

Carla first joined us 50 years ago, when BVES broke away from the Sheriffs Department and has stuck by our sides since then.

Carla has dedicated countless hours to this agency, making it what it is today. Her commitment, hard work, dedication, and passion does not go unnoticed. We are so grateful for Carla, and there is no one more deserving for this award than her.

Congratulations Carla and thank you for being the amazing person, and president, you are.

The Binghamton Fire Department is proud to be part of the City’s EMS response system. We staff a medic car at every fire station and respond to every EMS emergency in the city alongside our ambulance partners, Superior Ambulance and Broome Ambulance. BFD also operates one transporting ambulance and is staffed with dedicated EMTs and Paramedics who provide care to our residents 24/7.
