CG Eric Teo made a productive visit to Macao last week, where he attended a Promotion Seminar, Cocktail Reception and Dinner Banquet hosted for Consuls General accredited to Macao by HE Chief Executive Sam Hou Fai. Through the various briefings and engagements, the Consular Corps was updated on the latest plans for Macao. 🇸🇬🇲🇴

CG Eric also called on Ms Bian Lixin, the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in Macao, and Macao Health Bureau Director Dr Lo Iek‑long to exchange views on strengthening Singapore-Macao cooperation under the "One Country, Two Systems".

CG Eric also met SJM Holdings Co-Chairman & Executive Director Timothy Fok over lunch to better understand the business sector in Macao as well as the city’s latest economic policies, such as its economic diversification efforts.

During the visit, CG Eric also caught up with a group of Singaporeans over afternoon tea, hearing their experiences and perspectives living in Macao.

Capping off a hectic but fruitful trip, CG joined fellow ASEAN and EU Consuls‑General at their regular lunch gathering, with Macao Secretary for Administration and Justice Wong Sio Chak as the Guest-of-Honour to find out the latest developments and opportunities in Macao.🌎🗺️

總領事亦先後拜會中國外交部駐澳門特派員卞立新，以及澳門衛生局局長羅奕龍，就在「一國兩制」框架下加強新加坡澳門之間嘅合作交換意見。

此外，總領事與澳博控股聯席主席兼執行董事霍震霆共進午餐，了解澳門商界情況及特區政府最新經濟政策，包括經濟適度多元化方向。

訪澳期間，總領事亦與一群在澳新加坡人茶敘，聽取佢哋在澳生活嘅經驗同看法。

行程緊湊而成果豐碩，總領事最後與東盟及歐盟駐澳總領事出席定期午餐會，由澳門行政法務司司長黃少澤擔任主禮嘉賓，了解澳門最新發展同合作機遇。🌎🗺️

CG Eric Teo continued his series of introductory meetings as he met Hong Kong Legislative Council (Legco) President Starry Lee. President Lee was joined by Parliamentary Liaison Subcommittee Chairperson Prof. Priscilla Leung. 🤝

CG Teo and President Lee had a fruitful discussion on the close Hong Kong-Singapore relations, and reaffirmed the strong ties and regular exchanges between both legislatures.🇭🇰🤝🇸🇬

Consul Leonard Sim was invited to share with students from the Hang Seng University's Department of Marketing (HSU Marketing Community) about opportunities in Singapore in preparation for their inaugural upcoming study trip to Singapore. 🇸🇬📚💻

Engaging with students and educators from various levels is part of our regular work to maintain warm ties and share with our Hong Kong friends the different aspects of Singapore. We look forward to future opportunities to collaborate and work with the institutions of higher learning in Hong Kong to deepen their understanding of Singapore! 🏫

CG Eric Teo had an introductory meeting with Deputy Chief Secretary (DCS) for Administration 卓永興 WH Cheuk earlier this week.💬 They had a fruitful exchange on Singapore-Hong Kong relations, with DCS Cheuk recalling his experience and the deep relationships he had built with his various Singapore counterparts 👥 over his long and distinguished career in the civil service and as part of the Singapore-Hong Kong Permanent Secretary Exchange Programme many years ago.💼

CG Eric looks forward to working with DCS and his team to explore ways to deepen and broaden the mutually beneficial Singapore-Hong Kong collaboration.🇸🇬🤝🇭🇰

Singapore theatre company How Drama is presenting a solo interactive musical comedy 𝘉𝘪𝘨 𝘉𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘎𝘪𝘳𝘭 at the WestK Performing Art's inaugural Cabaret Festival at Xiqu Centre! Written and performed by Singaporean actress Ross Nasir, the piece surrounds dating experiences of a plus size woman, where audience get to choose the protagonist's date!

WestK Cabaret Festival: How Drama – Big Brown Girl｜5–7.6.2026｜Xiqu Centre A solo musical comedy about dating as a plus-size woman of colour that invites the audience to help play matchmaker

Both Singapore and Hong Kong have robust start-up cultures and ecosystems that complement each other.

Together with Hong Kong Science and Technology Park CEO Terry Wong and Director of Singapore Global Network Marcus Hee, CG Eric Teo officiated and spoke at the inaugural Hong Kong x Singapore Innovation Mixer co-organised by HKSTP 香港科技園and Singapore Global Network🇸🇬🌎🇭🇰. Encouraging all the startups and innovators present, CG Eric emphasised in his remarks that the “window of opportunity is here and now” to “find potential partners and collaborators” and “shape our shared future together”!

During the event, CG also took the opportunity to catch up with fellow Singaporean startup founders and friends of Singapore in the innovation and technology sector and encouraged them to explore collaboration and expand their presence to Singapore. 🔬🧑🏻‍💻

CG Eric Teo hosted Commissioner of China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Hong Kong SAR Cui Jianchun and his team to lunch recently as part of the regular engagements between their two offices.

CG Eric and Commissioner Cui had a good discussion on developments in China, Hong Kong and the wider region, as well as Singapore-China relations and Singapore-Hong Kong relations.🇸🇬🤝🇨🇳🇭🇰

CG Eric presented Commissioner Cui with the book 𝘕𝘰𝘵 𝘚𝘰 𝘓𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘙𝘦𝘥 𝘋𝘰𝘵: 60 𝘠𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘚𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘦'𝘴 𝘋𝘪𝘱𝘭𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘤𝘺, a publication commemorating Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affair's 60th anniversary, and Mr Lee Kuan Yew's 𝘖𝘯𝘦 𝘔𝘢𝘯'𝘴 𝘝𝘪𝘦𝘸 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥.📚
