The CHASE Fund was established in late 2002 by way of provisions in the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Act and invests a percentage of proceeds into five defined areas of national life: Culture, Health, Arts, Sport and Early Childhood Education.

And we left with full hearts. 🎀

This is what Pink Run 2026 looked like for Team CHASE Fund. We registered 240 persons for this year’s Pink Run, and made the day a morning to remember. We started by warming up and getting our hearts ready. Then came the start line, the runners streaming by, and a sea of pink on the track that we won’t forget. 🎬

We caught our runners telling us how the race went, cheered on Ronesha Rhule and the other girls, and heard from the President of Reach2Recovery and the Minister of Health and Wellness. We also shared moments with survivors, who are the reason we run. 💕

And of course, we ended with our Team CHASE Fund family, all together in one frame. 📸

Breast cancer survivor Marlene Dawson (left) shares a moment with Latoya Aquart-Foster, CHASE Fund Projects Manager, at the Pink Run held at Emancipation Park on October 25.

Marlene received financial assistance from the Fund in 2014 to support her treatment during her battle with cancer.

Unlocking voices, one classroom at a time. 🎓

On October 16, 57 early childhood and special needs educators received their certificates at the close of the Unlocking Voices Educator Initiative 2026, a five-day training led by the Speech and Scholars Project with support from the CHASE Fund.

Led by three ASHA-certified speech-language pathologists, the educators gained practical tools like language modelling, visual supports and AAC to help children with speech and language needs communicate, be understood and thrive.

Every child deserves a voice. 💬
