Unlimited open play all month long! The Mini Membership Pass gives your little one endless opportunities to climb, explore, imagine, and play in a clean, welcoming space designed for fun and connection. Perfect for weekly playdates, rainy days, and everyday energy-burning adventures. Membership includes unlimited open play visits during business hours plus exclusive member perks and special events throughout the month.

This is a reoccurring membership billed monthly. You may pause your membership twice a year or cancel at anytime.

Membership is $65 per month for the first child and $55 per month for each additional child

We are elated to introduce you to our General Manager, Erin Robertson!

Erin will be the welcoming face of The Playpen, overseeing daily operations both behind the scenes and in person. She brings years of experience in customer relations along with a background in early childhood education, making her a wonderful addition to our Playpen family. Her passion for creating meaningful experiences for children and families shines through in everything she does, and she is incredibly excited for what’s ahead at The Playpen!

Hi! I'm Erin and I am so happy to be here. I have four sons—16, 14, 12, and 12 (yes, twins!)—who keep me incredibly busy with sports, activities, and nonstop social calendars. We have a German Shepherd named Vada, whom we are all obsessed with. I live in Westmont with my boyfriend, John, and our gaggle of children. I love to travel, especially to Disney, and when I’m not cheering on the sidelines at a game, you can usually find me at a country music concert or at our lake house in Wisconsin.

I am looking forward to meeting all of my new Playpen pals!

It’s shaping up to be a great week at The Playpen with lots of opportunities for fun and play!

We are thrilled to share that starting June 2nd, Playpen will be open on Tuesdays for the first time ever! Hours will be 10am-5pm every Tuesday.

Additionally, on select Tuesdays, we will be offering music classes! For the month of June, we will have 3 trial class options. June 2, June 9 & June 23. Classes offered 9-9:40 with open play immediately to follow.

Cost: $26 for first child; includes class and open play for the whole day!
$24 for each additional sibling.

My name is Aimee (pronounced uh-may, rhymes with the word cafe) and I am so excited to be the new owner of The Playpen!

I have spent the past few weeks working closing with Sanam and Shalvi (the current owners) to learn and understand the business of play :). Some of you may have even seen me learning to make your lattes ☕️ Sanam and Shalvi have been amazing mentors and I hope that I make them proud as the new owner. My goal is to continue what they have started. I will also be retaining all of the current Playpen staff as well as brining on a full time general manager (intro coming soon 😉)

A little about me, I grew up in Glen Ellyn and I am a Glenbard West alumni (go Hilltoppers!) I obtained my B.S in Business Marketing from NIU. I also have a teaching certificate to teach ESL (English as a second language). Now I live in Downers Grove with my family which includes my husband George and my two boys Camden (9) and Chiylo (6).

Some of you may recognize me as a familiar face because my other company, Rainbow Tree Events, has been providing balloon packages for parties at Playpen ever since it opened 3 years ago.

I have always worked in the events industry, but for the past 6 years my focus has been establishing and growing Rainbow Tree Events from a small bounce house rental business to a large event planning and event rental firm. Rainbow Tree events currently has 17 employees and operates out of a warehouse in Woodridge, IL.

In Addition to Rainbow Tree, I also co-own a manufacturing company called Burst Party co. Burst Party co designs, manufactures, and wholesales foil balloons nationally and internationally. Our products can be found on many e-commerce websites including our own website, our distribution sites, Etsy.com, Faire.com, and Walmart.com.

My passion is owning and growing small businesses. I am especially passionate about women in business and female entrepenaureship. I have many exciting plans in store for The Playpen Glen Ellyn that I hope will continue to grow the amazing space that Sanam and Shalvi brought to the Glen Ellyn community.
