Happy International Day of Families! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Family-friendly workplaces are not just good for employees and families — they are a smart investment for businesses too. 💼

Together with private sector representatives in Kosovo, we explored how workplaces can better support work-life balance, employee wellbeing, talent retention, and gender-responsive family-friendly policies. Thank you to all partners and companies for contributing to this important dialogue toward more inclusive and supportive workplaces.

Happy !

Family is a cornerstone of our lives, but more and more people are finding it difficult to balance their family needs and goals with the demands of their jobs. That’s where gender-responsive family policies come in.

Through its Expanding Choices programme, supported by , UNFPA is proving that when workplaces embrace well-designed gender-responsive policies, everyone wins – including families and businesses. 🏆

Investing in flexible working arrangements, parental leave and childcare support leads to more productivity, more equality and more demographic resilience. Find out more:

What if the key to keeping talent lies in creating workplaces where people can truly thrive — both professionally and personally?

At the Power To HR - Global Summit in Prishtina, UNFPA hosted a masterclass on “Keeping Talent, Growing Returns: The Family-Friendly Advantage.”

The session explored how family-friendly workplace policies — from flexible work arrangements and parental leave to supportive workplace cultures — are not just good for employees, but also smart business strategy.

Because when workplaces support caregiving, everyone benefits:

✔️ stronger employee retention
✔️ higher productivity and engagement
✔️ more resilient businesses and economies
