We're still thinking about last month's Engage-Empower-Connect Summit at Denver Botanic Gardens - what a lovely afternoon of learning and connection! We're grateful to the panelists and moderators who shared insights on strategic collaborations, community engagement, and advancing technology for nonprofits. Thanks to all who were able to attend!

Did you know that in 2019 our old mascot Popsicle the Bear retired and was succeeded by his granddaughter Penny? Since then, Penny has proudly represented SCFD around our communities with her iconic pink fur 💅🏼

Fun fact: SCFD's bear mascot dates back to 1988, when SCFD was first trying to get off the ground, the Denver Zoo had two baby polar bears! So to capitalize on that good will and public excitement about the zoo, SCFD made their mascot a polar bear named Popsicle!
