Six Fulbright Arctic researchers presented their work at the Arctic Circle Assembly on Friday, October 9, during our “Fulbright in the Arctic – Meet the Scientists” session at Háaloft in Harpa.

The session showcased the diverse Arctic projects our grantees are working on, including AI and mental health in Arctic communities, volcanic unrest and how eruptions end, Arctic ecosystem dynamics, North Atlantic right whales and changing oceans, and research combining hydrothermal vents, marine robotics and machine learning.

Following brief introductions to their projects, the researchers joined audience members at roundtables to discuss their work in greater detail, answer questions and exchange perspectives from different countries and disciplines.
