დანიის საელჩო 🇩🇰 საქართველოში ულოცავს საქართველოს დედაენის დღეს. 🇬🇪

14 აპრილს საქართველო აღნიშნავს დედაენის დღეს, რომელიც ქართული ენის სახელმწიფო ენად შენარჩუნებას ეძღვნება.

▫️1978 წელს თბილისში გამართული მასობრივი გამოსვლების შედეგად, საბჭოთა გადაწყვეტილება ქართული ენის, როგორც სახელმწიფო ენის გაუქმების შესახებ ვერ განხორციელდა და ქართულმა ენამ სახელმწიფო ენის სტატუსი შეინარჩუნა.

ეს მოვლენა დღემდე წარმოადგენს საქართველოს ისტორიისა და ეროვნული იდენტობის მნიშვნელოვან ნაწილს.

The Danish Embassy 🇩🇰 congratulates Georgia on the Georgian Language Day. 🇬🇪

▫️On April 14, Georgia marks “Dedaena Day” honoring the Georgian language as the state language.
In 1978, as a result of mass protests in Tbilisi, Soviet proposal to strip the Georgian language of its state language status was abandoned and the Georgian language was retained as the official state language.
This day remains an important part of Georgian history and national identity.

ამ მნიშვნელოვან ეროვნული ერთიანობის დღეს, ჩვენმა ელჩმა ნორდიკულ და ბალტიის ქვეყნების საელჩოებთან ერთად ყვავილებით შეამკო 9 აპრილის მემორიალი და პატივი მიაგო 9 აპრილის მსხვერპლთა ხსოვნას.

9 აპრილი საქართველოში ეროვნული ერთიანობის დღეა, რადგან ის აღნიშნავს 1989 წლის ტრაგიკულ მოვლენებს, როდესაც საბჭოთა ჯარებმა თბილისში ძალადობრივად დაარბიეს მშვიდობიანი დემონსტრანტები, რომლებიც საქართველოს თავისუფლებასა და დამოუკიდებლობას ითხოვდნენ. ამ მოვლენებიდან 2 წლის შემდეგ, საქართველომ დამოუკიდებლობა აღიდგინა.

დანია მტკიცედ უჭერს მხარს საქართველოს სუვერენიტეტსა და დამოუკიდებლობას.

On this solemn day, the Day of National Unity, our Ambassador laid flowers together with the Nordic-Baltic embassies to honor the victims of April 9.

9 April is the Day of National Unity in Georgia, as it marks the tragic events in 1989, when the Soviet troops violently dispersed peaceful demonstrators in Tbilisi, who were advocating for Georgia’s freedom and independence. 2 years later, Georgia’s independence was restored.

Denmark firmly supports Georgia’s sovereignty and independence.

წყლის მსოფლიო დღეს, სამეგრელოს ვეწვიეთ და მდინარე კაპარჭინა მოვინახულეთ. შავ ზღვასა და პალიასტომის ტბას შორის გადაჭიმულ პატარა მდინარეს უდიდესი მნიშვნელობა აქვს როგორც ფოთის ეკოლოგიური მდგომარეობისთვის, ისე მთლიანად რეგიონის ეკოსისტემისთვის.

💧 ისევე როგორც ბევრი სხვა მდინარე, კაპარჭინაც კლიმატის ცვლილებასა და დაბინძურებას ებრძვის, რაც ამ ულამაზესი წყლის ნაკადის მდგრადობასა და მომავალს საფრთხეს უქმნის.

💧 კაპარჭინას შესწავლის, დასუფთავებისა და გადარჩენის საქმე ადგილობრივმა სამოქალაქო ორგანიზაციებმა ითავეს. მათ მდინარის ეკოლოგიური მდგომარეობა იკვლიეს, საზოგადოების ინფორმირებულობაზე იზრუნეს და კაპარჭინას ეკოლოგიური მდგომარეობის გაუმჯობესების მოდელიც შეიმუშავეს, რომელიც მდინარის მართვაში მოქალაქეთა ჩართულობის გაძლიერებასა და შესაბამისი ინსტიტუციური ცვლილებების გატარებას გულისხმობს.

💧 Stretched between the Black Sea and Paliastomi Lake, this small river plays a vital role in shaping Poti’s ecosystem and the environmental health of the entire region.

💧 Like many rivers, Kaparchina is under pressure from climate change and pollution, putting its future at risk.

💧 Today, local civil society is stepping up to raise awareness, study the most pressing issues, mobilise communities, and protect the river for generations to come.

The Embassy of Denmark expresses its deepest condolences on the passing of the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Ilia II.

For decades, His Holiness served as a central figure of spiritual leadership and a symbol of national unity.

We extend our sincere sympathies to the Georgian Orthodox Church, the clergy, and the people of Georgia during this time of mourning.

On 12 March 2026, the European Business Association hosted the EBA4Women Signature Forum, bringing together business leaders, diplomats, and professionals to advance women’s economic empowerment and promote inclusive leadership in business.

Ambassador Sørensen was one of the speakers, highlighting Denmark’s commitment to advancing women’s economic empowerment and fostering best practices within Georgia’s business community.

The programme featured discussions on inclusive workplaces and gender balance in the tech sector, as well as the launch of the EBA Women’s Economic Empowerment Committee to support long-term initiatives across the business community.

The forum concluded with the EBA4Women Awards, recognizing outstanding female leadership, impactful corporate initiatives supporting women, and for the first time a Male Champion award.

The Danish Embassy had the pleasure of hosting a group of students from the Georgian Model United Nations Association. 🇩🇰 Deputy Head of Mission Anders Trelborg briefed the group on the work of the Embassy and Danish-Georgian relations, followed by an engaging discussion about Denmark, similarities and differences between our countries and the role of diplomacy in a changing world.
